Delores Marie Rumenapp, 87, was born in Detroit, MI on May 13, 1930 to Henry Peter Schmitt and Agnes Dettloff. She entered into rest on August 2, 2017 in Wylie, TX. Delores was a caring and loving person. One of her favorite pastimes was to knit and needlepoint making beautiful pieces for everyone to enjoy. Delores was a faithful catholic and devoted much of her time to the Catholic Diocese of Dallas. Delores Marie Rumenapp, 87, was born in Detroit, MI on May 13, 1930 to Henry Peter Schmitt and Agnes Dettloff. She entered into rest on August 2, 2017 in Wylie, TX. Delores was a caring and loving person. One of her favorite pastimes was to knit and needlepoint making beautiful pieces for everyone to enjoy. Delores was a faithful catholic and devoted much of her time to the Catholic Diocese of Dallas. Delores and her husband, William John Rumenapp, were married for 66 years and formed a beautiful family together. They were quite the travel connoisseurs having lived in Michigan, Arizona, Texas, and Oregon throughout their lives. Delores was very family oriented and relished spending time with everyone during holidays and family gatherings.
She is loved and will be greatly missed by all those whose heart she touched. She is survived by her beloved husband, William; children, Robert (wife Carol) of Bedford, OR, Richard (wife Barbara) of Arlington, TX, Mary Ellen McDonald (husband David) of Marine City, MI, Gary (wife Pamela) of Spring, TX, Mark (wife Ketra) of Wylie, TX, 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 3 on the way; niece, Janice Daugherty (husband Michael) of Plano, TX; nephew, Roy (wife Debbie) of Shelby Township, MI; sister, Carol Rose of East China Township, MI. She joined her parents, brother-in-law Fred Rose, niece Cathy Rose to be with Our Lord and Savior. The Memorial Mass will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church 404 Ballard Avenue, Wylie, TX 75098 on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 10 a.m. Arrangements under the direction of Calvary Hill Funeral Home, Dallas, TX.
